I got engaged with my fiancé over a year ago in the little and calm indulging getaway destination of Petoskey. When we came to visit his family, that was when he proposed and immediately after his family came to know about it, his mother immediately asked me to have a grand Petoskey wedding. That was an instant ‘Yes’ I blurted out without even thinking. Although there was natural charm in how Petoskey was known to be a resort destination, there could have been enough research done on my part before I even said ‘yes’. But when you are caught off guard, your hands are tied.

Not that I did not want to – but a grand Petoskey wedding left me clueless since then. I needed time off from work to prepare for the wedding, and my future mother in law and I became a tandem. She showed me a lot of places around Petoskey but the ones I really liked were already booked for other events. We drove a bit off Petoskey and found ourselves in the breathtaking garden estate of Castle Farms.

Millie, my mother in law’s name, was just tugging me to the different castles we could make our wedding venue. There were a lot of them, and it was difficult to make up my mind. Instead of losing the wedding date spot to others, I immediately booked for it and was later on referred to their recommended wedding organizer.
